Every Monday, my Dad and I eat lunch at the "Happy Garden" our local Chinese Restaurant. It's only okay food-wise, (my mother won't eat there) but it's priceless when it comes to spending time with my 88-year-old father. We have great conversations about life, family, politics, the news, and his garden. It doesn't really matter to me what the subject is, it’s just a great way to get to know my Dad better. At the end of the meal, we open our fortune cookies and read our fortunes to each other...
Starting today I am going to post our Fortune Cookie fortunes, Lucky Numbers and any other parts of conversations or comments that I might remember, so that I have a record of them.
